At university I majored in computer science but left school my last year and meandered through potential careers in mixed martial arts, music/songwriting, and acting until I arrived at a recognition (and surrender) that human service work is the heart’s true calling. During that journey my spiritual life managed to blossom in an incredible way and with that came a growing depth of introspection, of self and other-understanding, of observation and reflection on the world/life and why it is the way it is. The original psychologists were deeply introspective and often spiritual people across cultures, seeking the answers to why we suffer and how that can end. The education and training I've had is wonderful but it's the inner work and reflection I've done over the years and the resulting fruits that I rest on for confidence in my ability to support others. My inner peace grows daily and seeing others around me suffering to the degree they do when there are answers is truly unfortunate, but by living the answers more and more I KNOW it doesn't have to be that way for us. I've lived and continue to live my fair share of un-wellness (as we all do) but it's decreased dramatically and I become more at ease and freer day by day. I truly wish that for us all.
As a person (and as a coach/counselor) people tend to open up to me very quickly, I suppose they can sense an open mind and a non-judgmental heart. There’s no reason to keep our guards up where no enemies are
present, and when we feel the presence of someone who wants to help — never harm.
I consistently am told my energy is calming and grounding.
Perhaps it’s because of all the inner work done to be consistently calm and
grounded. My life is a journey towards infinite well-being, every moment for me is
inner work and transformation, whether I’m rolling over laughing or drowning in tears,
my attention is inward where all well-being is found.
Approach
My approach is tailored to the individual or to the group — as it always must be. If I were to break it down I’d say it’s: 2 parts book knowledge, 2 parts training, 3 parts observation/listening, 3 parts personal experience/realization/insight, 3 parts intuition, and 12 parts love and appreciation for anyone seeking support. Most importantly the approach is SIMPLICITY. I'm a simpleeeee kiii-nda maaaa--aa-an! Health across different areas of our life is not a complicated study. There are SIMPLE concepts to understand and SIMPLE methods to be used that can lead one to greater levels of well-being. What's most important for all change is willingness. So if you are ready, open, and willing change is assured.
I’ve worked with people as fresh to life as 17 to as seasoned as 70+ from all different social classes, backgrounds, educational levels, etc. What I’ve come to understand (as many others have, across thousands of years and across cultures) is that we all just need a particular kind of understanding and the means to apply that understanding consistently. We all need to learn what supports well-being and what doesn’t and let go of what siphons it and hold tight to what nurtures it. This is every single one of our journeys and it isn’t more complicated than that. Our lives can be simple math — a few rounds of addition and subtraction that’ll multiply the joy and peace we experience in our lives and end our internal and external division. That personally gives me the ultimate strength and endurance to keep on evolving.
